Principal Introduction

“I was born in Tandojam. I was ambitious about studies since my primary education and grabbed the first position throughout schooling years. It was privilege to be the first girl from a middle-class family of our community to go out for studies. Back in those days, I had to opt psychology instead of science, in which I was selected due to my good grades. After graduation, there was a sad demise of my Father, Therefore I couldn't pursue my education at the time. But thankfully I was able to do it with my highly cooperated life partner. Teaching was never my personal choice, my mother made me to choose so. And by time, I just fall in love with teaching I'm thankful to her. I was in govt. Job for 31 years and became headmistress in 1992. I worked with honesty throughout my life and my lord paid me back with my children's education. After giving a big part of my life to teaching, I was emotionally attached to this profession. So, I started my school “Deep Academy Mithi”. Firstly, there were only 2 students enrolled and the number started increasing gradually. By the grace of God, this is one of the finest schools in the city now. If someone today asks me of achievements, I would say, “Awards are just a piece of plastic, my greatest achievement is that my children and students are well educated now.”

Brief History of School

Deep Academy Mithi was established in 2003 by the well-known educationist Mrs. Kamla Poonam. The motto of the school is, “Development Of 21st Century Learning Skills”. Our school vision is to prepare students for their future through 21st Century learning skills. This is why the Deep Academy Mithi has always worked hard to keep up with the latest skills advancement. Our latest additions include internet access and multimedia projectors and audio-visual aids in school premises and lessons are carried out as electronic classrooms. The school now has a Facebook page and Tweeter account which students, teachers, parents, and alumni can follow. We believe that giving our students cutting-edge technology will make tomorrow’s leaders. Meanwhile, the school continued to progress and expand. A variety of clubs and extracurricular activities were introduced like cultural and social clubs, sports and literature clubs, science clubs. Our students are equipped with academic skills which enable them to excel in all aspects of their lives. They are awarded national and international prizes in examinations and competitions and are accepted in prestigious colleges & universities. All these qualifications enable them to succeed in their chosen careers and it is not surprising that we find a great number of our students in important positions in the government and the business. The academic as well as the medical and the world of engineering and computers. The vision & mission: “To encourage and promote education and to guide students who are capable of contributing competencies’ to global developments”. The school is guided by a set of core values that forms the six pillars of the school namely: 1. Academic Excellence 2. Exemplary Discipline 3. Leadership 4. Environmental Conservation 5. Voluntary Service 6. Outstanding performance in and out-of-class activities.

Message From Administrator

Now it is the right time that we rethink education and redefine the role of schools and teachers in the life of the student. We have to move away from the traditional thought process and bring context to what happened in the classroom. Most of the context we provide to students today may be outdated in the years to come. So giving life experience, skills and developing a curiosity to learn should be on the top of our agenda. I believe that there are some of the reasons for schools to exist. Like: to provide life experience & skills sets which would help students survive, sustain & succeed in any situation. To teach students to focus on relationship and exercise compassions (No machine or technology can do this for students). I believe in Kaizen (改善). It means continuous ongoing development. Deep academy journey begins from Learning is light to Learning to live together to Let’s Learn (We are an Extraordinary Family) to Develop 21st-century learning skills Nowadays we are working upon 21st Century learning Skills development and trying to fulfill all 4Cs of 21st Century learning:- i-e Critical thinking, Collaboration, Creativity and Communication. I personally believe we need to add one more C to the list — compassion to make students responsible citizens. Just imagine what if the next generation of all stakeholders is taught compassion with all skills?  The World Would Be Such A Beautiful Place.
